Closely held Interface Biologics has appointed Dion Madsen, senior managing partner in the Healthcare Fund at BDC Venture Capital, to its board of directors.

At Healthcare, he is responsible for overseeing the fund’s investments and maximizing value creation across the portfolio. He has over 15 years of senior management experience as a financial executive and venture investor.
“BDC has been an active investor in Interface Biologics since 2004 and the company continues to be one of our top portfolio companies,” Mr. Madsen said in a statement.
“As I’ve started to get more actively involved with the company, I’m even more impressed with the technology platforms, the commercial success to date and the future prospects,” he added.
Interface president and CEO Tom Reeves said Mr. Madsen’s deep experience in life sciences venture capital coupled with his understanding of the corporate venture capital and M&A markets will be an invaluable resource for Interface.
Mr. Madsen replaces BDC’s Denis Ho, who has retired.
